Teachers lose time and money to fake jobs and agents. Here is exactly what we check before a job appears on School Mandi.
Every job
- A school sends us the job through our form. Nothing goes live automatically.
- We call the school on its number to confirm the job is real, the role, the salary range and how to apply.
- We ask for a monthly salary range on every job. If a school won't share it, the job says "Salary not disclosed".
- Each job has a closing date. Closed jobs disappear from the site the next morning.
Schools with the Verified school badge
- We match the school to its official record: its UDISE+ code, and its board affiliation number for CBSE, ICSE and other boards.
- We call the principal's or correspondent's office once to confirm who is hiring.
Jobs from schools we haven't finished checking still appear, but without the badge.
What we never do
- Charge teachers or staff to apply, ever.
- Publish agency or consultancy posts as if they were school jobs.
- Pass your phone number or email to schools. When you apply, you contact the school yourself.
Report a job
If a job looks wrong, is already filled, or someone asked you for money, tell us. We check every report and remove jobs that break these rules.
Questions
Does a job without the Verified badge mean it is fake?
No. It means we have confirmed the job by phone but have not yet finished checking the school itself. Read the job carefully and never pay anyone to apply.
How long does a job stay on the site?
Until its closing date. The site rebuilds every morning and removes jobs that have closed.
A school asked me for money. What should I do?
Do not pay. Genuine schools never charge teachers to apply or to attend an interview. Tell us and we will look into the school and take the job down.
